Tawana Lodge prides itself in its organic vegetable garden. Depending on seasonality, our chef utilises home-grown vegetables. Techniques such as crop rotation, green manure, compost, and biological pest control is regulated to ensure that we keep our standards high.
Responsible game practices also allows Tawana Lodge to harvest fresh venison as the main protein source. The ability to offer guests a healthy diet is a feature unique to the Tawana experience.
When the day’s adventure is over, tales become taller around the campfire while game or fresh fish from the coast is prepared with local spices and complemented by a fine selection of Cape wines.
After dinner, drinks are served in the Kudu Bar. Yet some evenings, listening to the darkness of the world beyond the camp that resounds with mysterious calls under the Southern constellations of a clear African night sky, it may be impossible to tear oneself away from the mesmerizing dance of the large campfire.
